Summary of PositionThe Annual Giving Officer (AGO) for UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law and the UNH Library works as part of a high-performing, donor-centered fundraising team to drive the strategy, design, management, and execution of comprehensive annual giving programs that generate financial support. The AGO is responsible for developing personal relationships with an assigned portfolio of individuals that result in renewed or increased giving. Using email, social media, texting, a guided fundraising platform, video conferencing, phone, and via in-person visits, the AGO cultivates donors, provides information that deepens their understanding and connection, and solicits them for annual gifts with a goal of strengthening the major gift pipeline. The incumbent will report to the Director of UNH Annual Giving Programs and partner with the dean of each unit to lead the expansion of existing annual giving efforts and transform them into high-caliber, high-ROI programs that reflect each unit’s unique culture, mission, goals, and strategic plan. As a results-motivated, curious, and digital-first communicator who is committed to living out the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, the AGO helps grow and strengthen a generous community at scale by leveraging digital communication tools to express gratitude, raise philanthropic dollars, and invite engagement.

Additional Job InformationAdditional Job Information: The AGO will join the University of New Hampshire Foundation at an inflection point as we move forward with the quiet phase of an ambitious fundraising campaign. The incumbent will build essential relationships and work with leaders and colleagues throughout UNH Franklin Pierce and the UNH Library to provide strategy, support, best practices, and recommendations and ensure a comprehensive solicitation approach to donors through a variety of solicitation methods. They will have a proven track record in annual giving fundraising or a closely related field of expertise, and will possess outstanding interpersonal competencies, ability to effectively manage projects, and be highly motivated, organized and detail oriented. The AGO will embrace goal-oriented outcomes with a heightened level of engagement for all constituencies. At the UNH Franklin Pierce School of Law, the incumbent will engage 4,000+ alumni, expand a $300K annual fund, and increase alumni participation beyond current levels. At the UNH Library the AGO will expand the base of support by identifying and engaging individuals who are interested in financially contributing to advance the library’s mission. While managing a robust donor portfolio for each unit, the AGO will continually strive to improve and extend relationships with all constituencies in ways that have a quantifiable impact on philanthropic revenue. In addition, they will participate in leading an expansion of the existing vehicles and practices through which UNH can capitalize on the energy of a passionate and loyal alumni body.
