Responsibilities:JOB SUMMARY:
Function as the bridge between business and technology, working with various business stakeholders to transform conceptual business and user requirements into functional requirements and use cases in a clear manner that is comprehensible to Product Managers, Developers and the Quality Assurance team. Coordinate the evaluation and analysis of internal and third party applications, inclusive of the Loan Origination Systems (“LOS”) as well as ancillary applications, as they pertain to business processes within the organization. Partner with business users to re-engineer business processes for improvements in productivity and efficiency. Perform all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, all US state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Assesses change requests in terms of effort required, its impact, and expected benefits to determine priority level, business need and/or identify additional training that might be needed.
- Receives and reviews system change requests, and ensures completeness prior to entering the backlog.
- Responsible for documenting and version management of mortgage operations work flows.
- Advises on the alignment of changes with systems capability and strategy.
- Manage changes that are internally initiated or initiated by system vendors (i.e. system updates, etc.)
- Ensures that system changes are released according to establish policy and standards.
- Coordinate and/or conduct pre-release and post-release testing.
- Collects post-deployment feedback from Help Desk and other sources to feed into the improvement cycle.
- Function as a subject matter expert on assigned system(s) and support the design, development, delivery and management of Product System related communications.
- Support organizational design, definition of roles and responsibilities of stakeholders, process workflows, and uniformity within company guidelines and standard operating procedures.
- Directs and manages assigned change portfolio for LOS and related systems.
- Ensure a structured methodology and lead change management activities.
- Apply a change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a project or initiative.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Oversees the testing and release of new loan products from a systems and end/user perspective.
- Supports training efforts by providing input, documents requirements, and ensures the delivery of training information for the Training Department or develops training materials internally.
- Coordinates changes with Help Desk Manager and ensures staff are informed or trained prior to release.
- Monitor projects in system to ensure timelines are being met and identify possible concerns and address with management.
- Mentor and assist with training and coaching of junior level staff.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES:
- Strong knowledge of mortgage industry terminology
- Strong knowledge on mortgage Loan Originations System’s such as Encompass and/or Empower
- Strong knowledge in a client facing role as Business Analyst/Product Support, requirement gathering, requirement elicitation, user stories
- Ability to think abstractly and deal with ambiguous/under-defined problems
- Ability to understand, remember, and communicate routine, factual information
- Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
- Extensive experience of driving results and collaborating in a cross-functional environment
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, lead projects, and enhance internal and external relationships
- Ability to navigate and work in Encompass, Empower, Microsoft Dynamics, JIRA, Visio, or similar systems
Qualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR LICENSES:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred
- Five (5) or more years’ experience in Banking/Mortgage industry or a minimum of three years of solid acceptable performance in a mortgage production support role or mortgage business analyst role.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Familiarity with project management approaches, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience with traditional SDLC, Agile, and rapid development software methodologies
