POSITION PURPOSE:

TheAnalyst, Data Management (ERP Transformation)is a key member of the Information Technology team whose primary mission is to partner with key business and IT team members to identify, analyze, and harmonize business data to be used across our Enterprise Application platforms. This role will be active within Project efforts regarding data conversion along with ongoing Data Management & Governance activities.

This position requires expertise in areas of business operations, business processes, application technologies, critical business data, and key operational reporting and analytics across the key business functions (ex. Sales, Service Management Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Distribution, Finance, and HR).

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of data analysis/data management experience

Skills

  • Ability to grasp and understand the organization and business functions across American Woodmark.
  • Meticulous data management and data entry skills. Must be organized and structured.
  • Excellent communication skills; oral and written
  • Attention to detail and the ability to read and follow directions is extremely important
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and other common software applications, to include databases, intermediate skills preferred
  • Proven commitment and competence to provide excellent customer service; positive and flexible
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a professional disposition
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; evenings and/or weekends, pending project deadlines
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud is a plus
  • Ability to adapt and work with others, strong people skills, team player

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another related field preferred; will consider experience in lieu of degree

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Receives, gathers, analyzes, and organizes information from multiple sources.

  • Accurately enters required data into one or more databases, documents, or spreadsheets.
  • Establishes and maintains physical files.
  • Coordinates requests for additional information as needed.
  • Provides accurate and timely status updates.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • This position does not typically have supervisory responsibilities.

SCOPE & EXPECTATIONS:

Language Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, reports, and legal documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities and respond to common inquiries from customers/clients or members of the business community and public. Ability to develop/deliver training presentations to managers and co-workers.

Mathematical Skills:

Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts like algebraic formulas, basic logic functions such as “if-then” statements, statistical analysis, variances analysis, correlation techniques, sampling theory, factor analysis, and have the ability to determine the validity and reliability of system tests.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position offices out of the Corporate Headquarters in Winchester, VA.
  • Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Evening and weekend work may be required.
  • Reports to: Technical Manager, Business Process Transformation
  • Recruitment process may consist of any combination of phone, video and in person interviews.
