Lewis-Clark State College invites applications for the position of Allied Health Coordinator.

Salary based on experience and qualifications: $57,000 - $58,000

Degree Requirement: minimum AAS in Nursing

Required Qualifications:

  • Current, unencumbered Idaho registered nurse license.
  • 2-3 years supervisory experience.
  • 3 years' experience in long term care or chronic care.
  • Considerable knowledge of group processes and dynamics, behavioral intervention and peer-group problem solving techniques; individual and group behavior.
  • Able to travel when needed, may require overnight stays.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OBRA.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Idaho and CoAEMSP EMS training standards.
  • Outgoing demeanor, with ability to interface with regional business and industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with databases
  • Experience with program management
  • Experience with CTE short-term Post-secondary education
  • Demonstrated knowledge of post-secondary career and technical program accreditation, curriculum development, educational theories, methods, practices, and equipment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of on line course development techniques and other distance delivery methodologies.
  • Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

Responsibilities:

  • Hire and supervise adjunct faculty. Participate in the supervision of the administrative assistants for Allied Health to ensure classes run smoothly on a daily basis, including but not limited to: scheduling, decision making, teacher professional development and class requirements. Work with students when necessary to move them toward a successful outcome
  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of class offerings throughout the year to maintain a program quality rating of 4+ out of 5 and meet WFT goals for programs (20% new programs each year, cancellation rate 10% or less).
  • Direct equipment needs, purchases, inventory, and maintenance as needed. Maintain accreditation for programs as required through reporting, assessments, and record keeping efforts.
  • Develop and monitor budget ensuring cost centers remain in the positive (with operating margin of 50% or better), maintain accurate records, make purchases and prepare periodic reports or delegate preparation of all aspects of Allied Health programs.
  • Analyze cost centers once a month in detail using the WFT established spreadsheet and F-9.
  • Attend meetings and make presentations as needed, may require regional or out of the area overnight travel.
  • Actively seek input from regional businesses and industries regarding needs for workforce training courses through use of Advisory Committees and other means.
  • Maintain adherence to any regulatory or industry requirement to meet the short term training needs of business and industry in Region II.
  • Coordinate, develop and evaluate distance learning delivery methodologies to meet the needs of this rural region, such as on line or hybrid delivery models. Ensure all class offerings are updated as necessary.
  • Participate with Workforce Training team to promote team building, WFT marketing, catalog development, long range planning, and workflow or process changes.
  • Actively participate in grant writing activities.
  • Participate in the WFT leadership team activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
