Description Job Summary: To provide specialized instruction according to identified needs in relevant academic areas for all qualified candidates. Primary Tasks: Provide classroom instruction and tutoring for participants in preparation of the High School Equivalency exam. Evaluate student deficiencies in subject areas. Instructs students in relevant content areas to enable the student to overcome academic deficiencies. Supervise tutors. Complete student paperwork and submits it to the Adult Education Office in a timely manner. Assist Program Director in evaluating and monitoring of participants. Participates with in-service training sessions and staff meetings when deemed necessary by the Program Director. Other duties as may be assigned by management. Required Education, Skills and Experience: MINIMUM Bachelor’s degree with major strengths in Math and Behavioral Science and Education with prior teaching experience. Must exhibit the ability to relate to and provide instruction to Native American adult learners. Demonstrate knowledge and proficient use of computer skills. Must complete paperwork and attend training sessions as provided by the Adult Education Program. TARGET Master’s degree with major strengths in Education and Behavioral Science. Prior experience preferred in teaching Native American students.
