Our Skilled Nursing facility is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to join our team Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Nurse Educator: Coordinate the delivery of in service programs to all shifts as needed Provide clinical training and oversite as needed to nurses/CNAs Develop competency trainings and post-tests for Nurse/CNAs Develop, present, document and provide resource material for nursing staff training Maintain a resource library and keep documented competencies for nurses/CNAs Evaluate Nursing Policy & Procedures and provide training on same as needed Prepare and coordinate State mandated annual trainings Conducts orientation for nursing personnel Coordinates with Department Heads orientation needs for new staff Infection Control: Works with Medical Director on Antibiotic Stewardship Program Ensure AB Stewardship program is instituted and followed Provide education on criteria used for LTC Surveillance for infections Complete Infection Preventionist Certification program and follow protocols as directed Develop IC training programs as needed and oversee implementation of same Collect data on infections and keep accurate and up to date tracking/surveillance records Follow DOH regulations on monitoring and reporting infections Track and audit IC measures to reduce infection i.e. hand hygiene, use of PPEs, proper precaution protocols etc. Ensures IC practices adhere to local, state and federal guidelines Wound Care: Keep detailed records of all facility wounds Round and work closely with wound care specialist Regular assessments of wounds and proper implementation of treatment Wound care training as needed Ensure care plans updated Qualifications: 1 year as an ADON in a Skilled Nursing Setting Skilled in educating and providing training What We Offer: Paid time of Medical Dental Vision Salary DOE We are an equal opportunity employer.
