The Admissions/Field Specialist Registered Nurse is responsible for completing all assigned admissions, nursing visits or assigned clinical tasks. Assists in the achievement of goals and objectives that meet and promote the standards of quality, and contributes to the total organization and philosophy. We believe in three core principles to help us achieve that goal namely: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Complete all admissions that are scheduled and assigned 2. Ensures that all admission paperwork is complete and turned into the office within 48 hours 3. Provides report of the admission directly after the admission is completed 4. Provides detailed report to the entire team through email 5. Meets weekly with the Director of Nursing and Intake team 6. Completes Clinical Record audits on patients assigned from the Director of Nursing 7. Completes Admission Audits assigned from the Director of Nursing 8. Completes nursing visits in assistance to, or in place of Case Managers when assigned 9. Assists in providing facility in-services as scheduled by the marketing team 10. Acts as the Suncrest Representative for patients/families that want to interview a hospice agency 11. Stays informed about changes in the field of nursing and hospice care; shares information appropriate organization personnel and provides necessary training 12. Understands principles of pain/symptom management 13. Complies with and maintains current CPR certification 14. Demonstrates excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills 15. Promotes hospice referrals in the health care community 16. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Executive Director/Administrator 17. Complies with accepted professional standards and principles POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 1. Licensed Nurse in the State of Utah 2. Degree in Nursing from an accredited program by the National League for Nursing 3. Ability to market and deal tactfully with customers and the community 4. Valid driver’s license 5. Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication 6. Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations, Conditions of Participation, State hospice regulations and CHAP standards.
