Hiring Range is $16-$18 per hour

This is a Long Term Seasonal Position. Working 40 hours per week year round. Benefits will include health care with the options to purchase dental, vision and retirement.

Fort Ransom State Park is located in the midst of the scenic and heavily wooded Sheyenne River Valley. The river provides abundant opportunities for canoeing, fishing and bird watching, while within the park can be found a short segment of the North Country National Scenic Trail. During the summer, horseback riding and camping are favorite activities, while cross-country skiing is a popular winter sport. A farmstead within the park is the setting for the annual Sodbuster Days celebration with demonstrations and exhibits of homesteading life.

Summary of Work

The Administrative Team Lead oversees the business and administrative operations of the park which include revenue collection & management, facility rentals, budget tracking, data collection, hiring support and reporting. The Administrative Team Lead supports a seasonal staff to facilitate the business operations and front-line customer service during the camping season. This includes Visitors Center operations. Quality customer service is something our visitors expect and is at the forefront of all park activities. Throughout the year, the Administrative Team Lead will manage the functionality of the Visitor Centers park office, to ensure supplies and materials are ordered and stocked for efficient office operation. Administrative Team Lead duties are constantly changing and adapting to the needs of the park and its visitors throughout the seasons of the year.

In addition to park operations, the Administrative Team Lead has opportunities to contribute on an agency wide scale with the participation in Ad Hoc Committees, Operation Management Team, and other department initiatives. There is opportunity for career development through both online and in-person training programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree with emphasis in business, office related functions or customer service and two years’ experience in same fields; or high school diploma (or GED) plus four years experience in appropriate functions, . A bachelor's degree in a business-related field may substitute for required work experience.

Experience with the following: Supervision, Budget Tracking, Customer Service, Teamwork, Training

Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays when the need arises.
