Provides administrative support activities for the Environmental Affairs, Bureau of Environmental Health Services, Division of Onsite Wastewater, Rabies and Enforcement. Performs receptionist duties by answering multi-lined phone and greeting the public with an amiable and helpful attitude; screens and forwards customers’ calls/concerns to the appropriate staff or agency. Performs administrative duties to include preparing, typing, and proofing documents; maintains filing system, program logs, and computer programs for all programs. Processes all outgoing and incoming intra-agency mail (courier) and postal mail. Provides freedom of information assistance for all requesters in accordance with agency policy and Bureau of Environmental Health Services office expectations. Performs other duties as required, which includes attending periodic staff meetings and training.

State Minimum Requirements: A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: The agency’s requirements are a high school diploma and two years of administrative experience in an office setting.
