About the position:

TJFACT is seeking to hire a Temporary Administrative Services Program Analyst & Traveler Preparer in Atlanta, GA to join our team! The Administrative Analyst will support the Administrative Services Unit at the CDC.

Duties and Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Prepare and submit periodic reports
  • Provide other administrative support as needed

Travel and Operations Support

  • Provide travel support services to the division
  • Track, report and communicate issues
  • Serve as a liaison to and provide direct support to the ASU in reviewing submissions and improving the quality, accuracy, and timeliness of all travel and ICAP requirements
  • Conduct quality control reviews of travel order and vouchers prior to CDC approval
  • Assist with annual travel planning, including cost estimate data verifications
  • Provide travel requirements and systems expertise. Answer questions and troubleshoot challenges as they arise
  • Review and manage data in the DNPAO SharePoint tool and provide system improvement suggestions as identified
  • Attend CDC Travel Office and/or Federal Agency Travel Administrator (FATA) trainings and disseminate information. The government will bear any cost of this training

International Travel Services

  • Input, process and track international travel and/or conference requests through close out using various systems and inform routinely inform traveler on status. Travel should be processed six weeks prior to travel start date an travel packets should be provided at least 2 weeks in advance of trip start dates
  • Liaison with and handle action requirements of the Office of Global Health
  • Gather and review reimbursement documentation to process vouchers ensuring compliance
  • prior to approval by CDC;
  • Educate travelers on rules and requirements governing travel, conferences and training.
  • The minimum qualification for the Secretary, Level II, is high school diploma. Has intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 operations including, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Secretary II works under moderate supervision. A Secretary II requires 2-3 years of related experience a similar level of complexity. Must possess sound written and oral communications skills and adjust to changing situations.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office programs routinely used to perform tasks Bachelor’s degree is desired, but not required
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in federal domestic administrative or travel policies and
  • procedures.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with CONCUR Government Edition system required.
  • Experience in international travel policies and procedures.
  • Experience interacting with Federal Agency Travel Administrators (FATA).
  • Experience training others in systems, policies and/or procedures
  • Knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations
  • A working knowledge of government administrative or conference policies and systems
