General Assistant/Operations
Description
LifeScan Labs of Illinois is located in Skokie, IL and has been a leader in providing reliable laboratory services for Northern Illinois for over 20 years. We are a laboratory specializing in medical diagnostic testing for physicians and long-term care facilities. Lifescan Labs of Illinois, LLC is looking for a General Assistant/Internal Customer Service Rep that will serve an integral role in our Operations department.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as the primary point of contact for Lifescan’s Internal Operation’s department.
- Interact with internal groups to aide in resolution of issues and inquiries.
- Develop and maintain strong technical knowledge of all systems/applications required to effectively service clients.
- Assist with COVID-19 project coordination (including but not limited to: updating client rosters, printing labels, creating supply kits, and addressing same day concerns, issues and needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Customer Service Manager, and/or Chief of Operations.
Successful candidates will have:
- High School Diploma/G.E.D required, plus previous administrative and customer service experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present ideas and communicate information in a user-friendly language and manner.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Good interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
- Ability to work with variety of office machines i.e., copiers, desk phones, smart phones, scanners, etc.,
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Mobility to travel to other sites is required.

- Monday – Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
