SUMMARY
Assists the Office Manager or Administrative Specialist in providing administrative and secretarial duties associated with bookkeeping, purchasing, inventory, payroll, and related activities.

INTENT OF JOB DESCRIPTION AND MODIFICATIONS

This job description describes the duties and responsibilities, qualifications requirements, physical demands, work environment, etc. for this job. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following are the essential duties and responsibilities of the job. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Provides backup support to the Office Manager and/or Administrative Specialist.
2. Assists in processing a variety of documents related to bookkeeping, purchasing, inventory, payroll, and other related duties.
3. Types and proofreads correspondence and documents.
4. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of records, reports and files; and collects and distributes correspondence and other documentation.
5. Assists in maintaining, monitoring and ordering supplies, materials, and equipment.
6. Provides information to Associates regarding policies, procedures and general information.
7. Answers telephones and assists callers by taking messages and providing information.
8. Attends and participates in all Company-sponsored training programs as required.
9. Performs any other duties, responsibilities or tasks as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to write and speak effectively using good grammar and spelling skills. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software.
