  • Join a small but dedicated and engaged team of administrators supporting the department and will perform various financial and administrative activities related to procurement, reconciliation, recharges, cash handling and other duties for the department.
  • Managing department purchases by using the BearBuy system, which includes approving department invoices of $5,000 or more
  • Weekly collection, scanning, filing, and receiving of all department packing slips
  • Proactively researching and closing PO liens, and other duties as needed related to the receiving and recording of department purchases.
  • Assists in maintaining department’s equipment database.
  • Financial activities will include review and reconciliation of a small number of department accounts, monthly General Ledger reconciliation, and preparation of financial journals
  • Manage recharge projects including financial management; maintaining equipment; ordering supplies and requesting repairs.
  • Will act as the primary cash handler for the department.
  • Other activities could include processing facilities requests, and other general administrative duties.

Department Description

UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.
