The Administrative Assistant 2 follows established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective secretarial support to an office, business unit, department, or other organization. Answers telephones, screens calls, and takes messages so callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Administrative Assistant 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.

Responsibilities

The Administrative Assistant 2 Coordinates internal and external meetings which may involve scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees, and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available. Manages the appointments and schedules of applicable staff. Additional responsibilities may include planning onsite and offsite events, working with and aligning necessary partnerships with internal and external vendors, meeting preparations and deadlines, assisting with Leadership agendas, etc. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 yrs previous administrative or related experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, Excel and Access
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
  • Ability to balance multiple initiatives and prioritize workload
  • Experience with internet research and proof-reading/editing
  • Exemplary planning and time management skills
  • Demonstrated comprehension of office management systems and procedures
  • Strong emotional intelligence
  • Demonstrated ability to manage travel and meeting plans
  • Demonstrated professionalism working with all levels of Executive Leadership and presentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 Organization
  • Previous experience as an Executive Administrative Assistant, Senior Executive Administrative Assistant or in other administrative support position
  • CEAP certifications

Additional Information

This role will support a SVP and VP.

Vaccine policy:

Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home. If progressed to offer, candidates will be required to:

  • Provide proof of applicable exemption including any required supporting documentation
