Accounts Payable/Receivable Assistant

This individual will gather data, calculate fees, and create invoices to support the Controller, Accounts Payable department. Following up with other departments to ensure accurate processing of collections or payments.

Essential Functions:

• Preparing and issuing invoices
• Enter invoices into customer invoicing websites
• Submit invoices by electronic data interchange
• Compile, analyze and record bills
• The individual is also expected to keep track of transactions and follow up on discrepancies between logs and invoices.
• Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
• Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
• Communicate with other departments for accurate information processing.
• Gather information and add information using the Trinium system.
• Review rates for accuracy with the customer and specified job.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to solve problems as they arise.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Advanced skills using 10key typing.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma
• 1-year experience working with Microsoft Office
• 1-year experience working in an accounting/billing role

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.

• None.
