ROLE
The Accounting Supervisor role supports the company’s mission by working closely with our accounting team to manage financial functions, including accounts payable/receivable, billing, bank reconciliations and audits. To succeed in this role, you should also have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage a team. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our financial reporting management is accurate and effective.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lead and develop the accounting team located in Wichita and Lenexa, KS.
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, billing, general ledger, bank reconciliations, and various State and local taxes.
- Manage components of month-end and year-end close process
- Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department
- Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
- Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s targets
- Ensure compliance with the law and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Ability to manage and deliver other projects as assigned by the Controller or Chief Financial Officer
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Required.
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- 5-7 years of progressive Accounting experience preferred.
- Exceptional business math skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Prefer someone with previous experience in financial reporting and a strong
- understanding of GAAP fundamental

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position primarily works in an office environment; however, has potential for varied environments that may include off premise work and travel. Constant interaction with co-workers, customers, vendors, and general public. The employee is regularly required to type and maneuver a mouse throughout the day as well as stand, sit, bend, kneel, squat, and walk for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (unassisted).
