Accounting Manager, US Operations BID Group Holdings US, Inc. Office Location: Saint George, SC BID Group is a North American leader in the design and manufacture of equipment for wood processing mills. The company primarily serves the North American market, in addition to serving international clients. BID Group offers the most comprehensive range of products on the market, producing everything from mechanical equipment, PLCs and optimization systems equipped with digital vision scanners. Our products also deliver fully automated production lines. The company has over 1,500 employees working in our divisions located across North America. The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for project accounting oversight within the construction and manufacturing business segments and ensures financial reporting is in compliance with company policy and accounting principles. A successful Accounting Manager combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to create and manage best practices for the operations and finance team. The position will be based in the Saint George, SC office and reports directly to the Corporate Controller USA. FINANCIAL REPORTING · Maintain full understanding of project accounting and revenue recognition processes to record percentage of completion and properly classify and report deferred revenue and sales accruals · Conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate presentation of the balance sheet · Support preparation of financial statements in accordance with established company policies and accounting principles · Assist in annual financial audits and any third-party agency audits as required BUDGETING AND FORECASTING · Assist operations in preparing annual budgets and monthly forecasts · Liaison and support communication between operations to ensure business assumptions flow through succinctly and consistently · Analyze and report variances to budgets and forecasts and track performance BUSINESS ANALYTICS · Maintain a full understanding of critical success factors of the business to support management for improving operational and financial performance · Be value add business partner who facilitates margin improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve profitability and reduce costs · Prepare ad hoc analysis to support management in decision-making efforts Skills and Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with a professional accreditation preferred and has a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and standards · 5+ years accounting experience in a construction or manufacturing environment · Experience with month end, quarter end and fiscal year end close processes · Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail · Strong Excel skills, especially advanced financial modeling and analytical techniques · Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a consistent and solid work ethic Job Type: Full-time Benefits: Schedule:
