A substantial part of the 200-acre Viking Lakes mixed-use development, this destination is home to the Minnesota Vikings headquarters, Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center and TCO Stadium. The location is easily accessible from downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the Mall of America and airport, with additional uses for the planned development to include corporate offices, retail, restaurants and entertainment.
The 320-room luxury hotel features more than 35,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and pre-function space, including a 7,500-square-foot ballroom, a 4,410-square-foot event center and six two-story hospitality lounges for groups and meeting planners to utilize. From small board meetings, conferences and large galas or special events to Sunday football tailgates and more, the Omni Viking Lakes Hotel accommodates groups of all sizes with its robust meetings offerings, multiple food and beverage venues, a signature spa and state-of-the-art fitness facilities.Job Description: This team member will provide the appropriate billings and back up data of the Hotel's functions booked by the Banquet and Sales Departments. Handling of account(s) through settlement and guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

  • Daily handling and resolution of check out with balance accounts.
  • Maintain neat and organized billing files.
  • Ensure that all billings go out with supporting backup for all charges.
  • Audit all banquet charges as well as miscellaneous charges that are posted to master accounts for accuracy.
  • Ensure all banquet charges as well as miscellaneous charges have signed agreements from the client
  • Review City Ledger on a daily basis.
  • Maintain a billing control log sheet for all billings, indicating the name, account number, and date billed.
  • Review all credit applications to minimize collection risk.
  • Handle all customer inquiries in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Handle correspondence and communication to customers, corporate office, as well as our owners regarding billing matters.
  • Ensure that all major accounts have received a follow-up call after the bills have been sent.
  • Attend pre-con meetings when needed.
  • Collect and apply payments for groups
  • Maintain open communication with all departments.
  • Ensure all groups have credit established within proper timeframe.
  • Process Travel Agent commissions regularly.
  • Review contract distributions and ensure all deposits are taken in accordance with the contract
  • Attend department meetings and other required trainings.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:Qualifications:
  • 1 year of accounting experience in the hospitality industry is strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience as Accounts Receivable is also preferred.
  • Candidate must have excellent time management skills, the ability to work with both internal and external customers and a keen eye for detail.
  • Must be computer oriented and able to meet deadlines and adhere to company policies.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with internal and external guests/customers, both in person and by telephone.

Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an entire shift.


Working Environment:
  • Office environment with occasional travel around property.
