Job Description

This role (i) assists the accounting and operations support teams in its daily duties and (ii) provides accurate and timely service in regards to one or more of the following general accounting areas a) invoicing b) general ledger c) cost data and pricing. This is the second level accounting role, which focuses on initiative while providing support and obtaining information across functional areas.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their first priority
Train and mentor team members on policies and procedures
Ensure adequate controls and procedures exist
Provide/obtain information across functional areas to support business needs
Actively participate on WCOM Teams

Invoicing:
Generate customer and intercompany invoices for product shipments, warehouse shipments, export shipments, graphics charges, and miscellaneous items.
Review invoices exception reports, and investigate held invoices for charges/discounts.
Partner with Customer Service on special request invoices

General Ledger:
Assist in various aspects of daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis , trend analysis and reporting)
Assist in the annual budgeting process
Prepare receiving reports, purchase orders, RGM’s (Returned Goods Memorandum), acknowledgements, invoices for forwarding to Corporate Accounting.
Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on: sales and margins, inventory, and inventory valuations.
Review and process deductions, special request AP requests, and miscellaneous credits rebills
Review aged A/R and assist sales/collections with gathering documentation

Cost Data and Pricing:
Confirm incoming order pricing is accurate and valid. Communicate price variance to Marketing and Customer Service.
Assist in maintaining various quoting/costing systems including establishing and updating of machine hour rates, bill of materials, machine routings, raw material costs, set up time, run speeds, and waste percentages.
Prepare intracompany and intercompany customer quotes
Partner with sales/marketing/costing/accounting to prepare cost and pricing analysis as required.

Experience – 4+ years of related accounting experience
