Accounting Clerk lll will provide accounting and administrative support to the US Coast Guard, Aviation Logistics Center (ALC). General duties include but are not limited to: maintain journal/subsidiary ledgers, review invoices and statements, reconcile reports, resolve process issues, scan and tag financial documents, manage the ALC’s public email box, assist the CFO, manage the Intra-Governmental Payment and Collections, support the USCG’s supply and financial system, and provide documentations for internal/external audits.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Six (6) semester hours in college level accounting principles preferred and/or two (2) or more years experience in an accounting environment or one (1) year experience as an Accounting Clerk II.
- General computer skills for accounting environment
- Intermediate Outlook skills (to send/receive emails, manage shared calendars/mailboxes, out of office assistant, page controls)
- MS Excel Proficiency, with ability to perform complex functions and create pivot table/graphs
- Ability to multi-task and meet competing deadlines
- Ability to apply understand of laws and regulations to project requirements and ensure compliance
