Responsibilities:
Responsible for processing invoices for development projects, coordinating payroll research and adjustments, improving the accounting processes for corporate accounting, and utilizing those processes to perform accounting tasks, efficiently and effectively.

Payroll Accounting

  • Review accounts receivable for payroll reimbursements, construction management fees, property management fees, etc. and contact appropriate parties for outstanding invoices
  • Assist and coordinate the workflow of payroll research and adjustments proactively
  • Perform technical responses to inquiries from accountants, property managers and clients
  • Review and prepare commission payments to brokers in timely manner
  • Extract payroll data from accounting system with VBA macros
  • Responsible for ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of all payroll and personnel information, files, data—includes both written and oral forms of information

Financial Reporting

  • Assist in the develop of enhanced financial reporting and analysis on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, to include increased trend, comparative and composition analysis
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements to executives
  • Extract and manipulate data in order to facilitate financial analyses
  • Review accounting schedules/templates to improve data input process
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Forecasts, Budgets and Financial Analyses

  • Assist in annual preparation of regional budgets
  • Handle special projects, as assigned.

Accounts Payable

  • Review invoices submitted by construction managers
  • Process development invoices in accounting system
  • Maintain invoice files and provided invoices to team members, as requested

Service/Personal/Management Skills:

  • Communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Interaction with staff, supervisors, peers, auditors and clients
  • Problem-solving; analytical ability; well-organized; self-starter; able to handle multiple priorities

Qualifications:
Experience:

  • 1 year of accounting and/or commercial real estate accounting experience preferred

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, strong skills in VBA and Macros required
  • Experience in Database, SQL and/or Spreadsheet Server preferred
  • Experience in JD Edwards preferred
