SUMMARY

Seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to perform general and specific customer shipping desk duties including printing and assigning pick tickets, picking orders, scheduling carrier pickups, checking orders, maintaining inventories and supporting other warehouse functions. Audit account inventory, identify discrepancies and root causes, reconcile inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform daily duties of shipping desk including creating pick tickets and bill of ladings.
  • Communicate directly with team members and customers regarding any changes in shipping order status.
  • Support shipping team by assembling orders for shipment, verifying counts, weights, loading and unloading as required (moderate lifting may be required), and some forklift duties. Assess and delegate other duties as needed throughout the day.
  • Maintain WMS system that ensures full accountability for all material transactions in the receiving, warehouse and shipping process.
  • Continually review and improve material handling procedures for both inbound and outbound transactions.
  • Monitor and perform daily transactions to ensure accuracy and uniformity of methods.
  • Verify incoming materials to packing list to ensure order fulfillment and/or no damage is evident.

GENERAL SKILLS

  • Requires general knowledge of WMS applications and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
  • Strong oral & written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Time and priority management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • 2-4 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • 1-2 years of experience with forklifts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Specific knowledge of receiving, inventory, and shipping processes and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Shipping & receiving: 2 years (Required)
  • Forklift: 1 year (Preferred)
