The Account Manager will be a key part of the existing Walmart team. They will work directly with the VP of Sales and Walmart Analyst to support growth initiatives and coordinate daily communications with Walmart. This position will be a key point of contact between Cosmic Pet Corporate and Walmart/Walmart.com. This is a great opportunity to join one of the fastest growing companies in the Pet Industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with team to grow the top line sales of assigned products to Walmart including stores and /or online channels.
- Ensure connectivity at various levels across various functional areas at Walmart to understand and optimize every aspect of the business.
- Lead preparation and execution of all aspects of product line reviews for assigned product categories in-store and online.
- Oversee and ensures execution of all line review decisions from item set up, order management, modular development and execution, etc.
- Build relationships at the buyer and assistant buyer levels
- Facilitate connectivity in other functional areas.
- Provide Market Research to assist with development of category strategy
- Review weekly reports with the Walmart Analyst to identify opportunities for improvement, summarize and share with Walmart Team during weekly update
- Attend monthly scheduled calls with VP of Sales and Walmart to review performance, expectations and new innovation
- Daily Support for all Walmart initiatives and work with the various business functions to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Primary Point of Contact for Communications between Cosmic Pet Corporate and Walmart
- Update and Maintain Key account activities in Zoho
- Market, Shopper, Channel, & Category Understanding
- Customer & Category Strategy Development
- Customer Planning and Execution
- Customer Relationship Management
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination education and experience.
- Two – four years account management or sales experience, preferably in Consumer Goods
- Exceptional communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense of urgency, personable, professional
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Must have strong organizational and planning skills
- Extremely organized, detail and process oriented.
- Demonstrated ability to manage different responsibilities.
- High degree of ownership and initiative.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
