Account Manager for Customer Service Division, University Information Services - Georgetown University
Job Overview
The Account Manager works collaboratively with specifically designated departments or university divisions to provide IT guidance, recommendations, and direction. They assist the department or division with development of IT goals and objectives; manage resources to assure technology needs are met and aligned with the university's IT objectives.
The Account Manager is responsible for developing measurement tools and methods to track and evaluate performance; and for making recommendations that assure service improvements are met by the IT organization or contractors; and represents and advocates for the IT organization, gains compliance with established policies, and negotiates or settles significant or controversial issues with their assigned areas of responsibility.
Work Interactions
Reporting to a manager within the customer service division of University Information Services, the Account Manager is a Team Lead, but has no direct reports. As do all Account Mangers, they work directly with individuals on many levels - faculty and students in academic areas, and management and executives in administrative groups; and are responsible for finding the right stakeholders, key decision makers, and subject matter experts for their projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree.
5 years working in information technology management organization - preference for 2 years working in customer service
Continuing education in technology discipline
Certification in business process and project management.
Ability to clearly communicate orally and in writing with proper grammar and spelling.
