Who You Are
We are seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)/NYS Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) for a Clinical Director position in Central New York. The primary role of the Clinical Director of the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program is to assist the Leadership Team in guiding the development and growth of the program by making informed short- and long-term decisions as related to the program. The person in this position will work closely with members of the Leadership Team to 1) facilitate high-quality ABA programming; 2) oversee ABA quality, supervision and training, and patient care; and 3) assist in program development and expansion.
The person in this position will play a crucial role in maintaining the health of the agency in staffing and clinical aspects. It is imperative that the person in this position excels in communication, organization, and time management in order to work efficiently with the Leadership Team and staff to ensure the health of the ABA program. The ability to visualize the growth and potential of the ABA program and its staff will require creativity, forethought, and pragmatics.
Given that a significant portion of the Clinical Director position is focused on supervision of staff, this person’s interpersonal skills will be paramount to their success and the success of the program. This individual should possess excellent conflict resolution skills, have an approachable demeanor, and a positive attitude. The Clinical Director should also have superb stress tolerance and the ability to separate being right from being effective with an emphasis on the latter.
