Bethel School District is seeking appropriately licensed candidates for the position of 1.0 FTE district-wide Athletic Director whose primary function is based at Willamette High School. This position is an administrator position and requires candidates to currently possess or be able to acquire an Oregon Administrator License. Willamette is a comprehensive high school that offers students: Dynamic Leadership The Athletic Director is a dynamic and visible leader who works with the administration team and staff to create: Athletic Director Position Summary The Athletic Director position: The Athletic Director is responsible for creating and maintaining team schedules and budgets, organizing and coordinating contests and transportation to and from events, and coordinates the use of facilities and fields for district and non-district use. The Athletic Director effectively monitors, evaluates and addresses student conduct, including but not limited to student supervision, student behavior management, and student discipline. The Athletic Director coordinates and initiates fundraising for the improvement of facilities and purchasing of necessary materials and equipment. The position promotes greater student participation in extracurricular activities. The Athletic Director is responsible for recruitment and screening of all applicants for Willamette coaching positions and recommendations to Human Resources for contracts for coaches. The Athletic Director tracks and monitors mandatory trainings, and schedules and publicizes professional development opportunities for club and athletic coaches and volunteers. The Athletic Director ensures compliance with all school, District and OSAA guidelines, rules and regulations for student athletes. This position investigates and facilitates resolutions of concerns or complaints related to athletics, athletic programs, coaches, and volunteers. The Athletic Director resolves problems, issues and concerns that may arise between coaches, individual athletes and athletic programs. This position acts as the first point of contact for students and their parents or guardians, when there are concerns about an athletic or activities programs or coach. The Athletic Director acts as a liaison to Booster, athletic, parent/guardian and community organizations. The Athletic Director is responsible for directly supervising home athletic contests and/or arranging for others to do so and will supervise away games, as needed or as directed.
