Job Description
The Allocator reports to the Inventory Supervisor with a dotted line to the shift supervisor. The Allocator is responsible for allocating work to the crew, directing truck drivers to docks and various locations on the facility premises. Allocated matches loads to the proper trucks, communicates with the shift departing and the shift arriving. The Allocator must be able to communicate effectively with customer service and all internal and external customers.
**Multiple Shifts Available**
Monday through Thursday - 6 AM to 4:30 PM
Sunday through Thursday - 5 PM to 1:30 AM
Friday through Monday - 6 AM to 4:30 PM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Exhibit exceptional organizational skills.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Exhibit the willingness to learn new processes.
Knowledge of e-mail processes.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to multi task.
Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain composure under pressure.
Ability to communicate well with others and maintain a good disposition.
Manage resources and meet deadlines.
Structure work load so it flows smoothly throughout shift.
Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
Must have knowledge of the area to direct drivers into our facility. Work cooperatively with supervision and allocators from Mill and CRW.
Be flexible to help on other shifts and other locations if necessary
Take legible and comprehensive notes throughout the day on issues.
Other duties may be assigned as needed, revised and updated as necessary.
Must be knowledgeable about and follow the company’s policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Must be detail-oriented, quality-focused and self-motivated to work in a team oriented environment
1 year previous warehouse distribution experience
Prior computer experience to include MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Outlook email
Prior experience with WMS and SAP preferred
Automated or RF (radio frequency) warehouse experience helpful
Experience operating material handling equipment, conveyer belts, bailers and wrappers
Must have attention to detail
Must have professional and effective communication skills
Other:
Must be able to sit long periods of time
Must be able to lift 45 lbs without restriction
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
Willingness to become forklift certified
