Aircraft Maintenance ALSS Supervisor - T45 Program Pensacola, FL (NC)

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Perform all duties of the job classification.
Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance and ensure all work is scheduled and performed in a safe and efficient manner. Primary duty will be Maintenance Supervisor.
Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with an ability to supervise a team.
Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
Supervise maintenance staff, which includes reviewing employee performance, addressing personnel issues, generating assignments, and setting priorities.
Perform off-site service on assigned detachments.
Instruct assigned employees on proper maintenance methods and procedures as required.
Enforce Foreign Object Debris (FOD), hazardous waste, and tool control programs.
Assist as directed to ensure safety, security, and preservation of Government/Company-owned equipment.
Comply with all established general and industrial safety rules and regulations as applicable to the contract, facilities, and job assignment.
Maintains the highest ethical personal and professional standards.

Other projects and initiatives as assigned.

POSITION SCOPE AND CHARTER

Completion of U.S. Navy Aircrew Survival Equipmentman “PR” “A” school or equivalent Air Force or Army military occupational specialty (MOS) course required.
The ALSS Maintenance Supervisor shall possess an extensive background in the field of aircrew survival equipment maintenance and material support with a minimum of:
High school diploma or equivalent with 12 years of experience within the last 15 years in direct aircrew equipment maintenance repair, inspection, and modification, nine (9) years must be related exempt experience.
Of the 12 years of experience in aircraft maintenance, six (6) years shall be in a supervisory position that included responsibility for assigning program workloads as well as duties for entire shifts.
The ALSS Maintenance Supervisor must have experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. The Supervisor must be knowledgeable of the COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 series; be knowledgeable of NALCOMIS/OOMA operating procedures; be knowledgeable of basic supply procedures and possess a working knowledge of applicable aircraft.
The ALSS Maintenance Supervisor shall have experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy and must have experience in corrosion detection, treatment, and protection.

Must have a valid state driver's license.

Must be able to obtain and maintain required clearance.

Must be able to work weekends, other shifts, and overtime as required.

The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.

Some travel will be required.

Must adhere to Company policies/procedures and management instruction.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and Company Proprietary data.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS

This classification activity is usually accomplished in an office/hangar environment and as such requires the scope of physical movements and postures normally associated with office/hangar activities. May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 50 pounds. Special vision abilities required to perform this job are close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

The diversity of work conditions may range from an environment where there is little or no physical discomfort, to an environment where inclement weather may subject individuals to severe changes of temperature, wind, rain, etc. May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail.
