Position summary: Oversees the performance of hospital staff whose duties include patient registration and other front-office admissions tasks such as bed assignments, financial arrangements for services provided and payment transactions. Works with staff in other departments to ensure proper patient placement and verifies acceptable patient insurance coverage. Schedules staff and organizes training and development.

Position responsibilities:
- Oversee day to day admitting operations, train/coach new staff and cover for all admitting positions
- Manage Receptionist & Registration call-ins., document & report these to Patient Accounts Director, ensure coverage is in place during staff absence
- Tend to payments received and any issues arising from them, refer to Director when appropriate
- Oversee coverage for weekend/evening/holiday rotations- Registration & Receptionist staff
- Complete daily balancing of cash drawers and cafeteria deposit
- Communicate with Director of day to day operations
- Oversee Relay Account Process-Registration reports-patient addresses on statements
- Keep current with governmental regulations for billing/posting purposes
- Post all insurance payments and Collection agency payments to correct accounts
- Implement monthly Operator phone studies
- Assist with Medicare Bad Debt report
- Oversee front office mail gets to mail room daily & all batches are completed by Receptionist
- Oversee & work In-House audit-weekly
- Act as Follow My Health-secondary help desk
- Oversee CRC report for Registration
- Oversee Credit Card system, users and daily Receptionist reports/deposit
- Complete process for all Return Checks, from patients and insurance companies
- Test new Software-Super user
- Provide guidance and education to all hospital staff regarding registration changes or non-compliance
- Assist with Peer Interviews for Patient Accounts department
- Perform other duties as directed
