In coordination with Business Development function, an Admissions Coordinator attracts suitable candidates for admission and integrates them seamlessly into the system. Our idea candidate will have great customer service and demonstrate their commitment to the company's mission, values and standards of ethical behavior. Our Admission Coordinator will treat our residents and potential residents with kindness, dignity and respect. The Admissions Coordinator will report to the Administrator. They will receive and review all inquiries and review admissions suitable with the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Business Office Manager. A successful Admissions Coordinator will work with discharge planners, families, and physicians to accomplish admissions to the facility. Requirements:
  • 2-4 years previous related experience, preferably in long term care environment, required; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with specialization in business, communities, or equivalent preferred, not required.
  • Able to organize and prioritize.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and be discreet.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently and comprehensibly enough to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Have some knowledge in nursing/medical practices and procedures, and/or terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
