Job Description
JOB SUMMARY The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating admissions to Imani services, demonstrating knowledge of Swope Health Services, Department of Mental Health and other funders' guidelines for admission criteria and processes. The Admissions Coordinator must have good computer and analytical skills and have some knowledge of excel, including skills of managing date in spreadsheets. The Admissions Coordinator will verify client billing information at intake and investigating changes in procedure codes at each level change. The Admissions Coordinator must have excellent interpersonal and external communication skills. PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
  • Collection and processing of documents for new clients.
  • Coordinate all new admissions with internal and external partners.
  • Responsible for tracking current and potential clients as well as outreach when needed.
  • Orient new clients to Imani House.
  • Make outside referrals when appropriate.
  • Assist with scheduling as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor degree in psychology, sociology or other social service field preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years of customer service and/or scheduling experience.
  • A minimum of 1 year working in a social service setting.
  • Type a minimum of 35 wpm.
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills; experience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records, and Excel is necessary, experience with CIMOR is preferred.
  • Previous billing experience preferred
Preferred Certification & Licensure
  • Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) or Missouri Recovery Support Specialist (MRSS) preferred
