Job Description
Portico Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Akima LLC, is a one-stop construction company combining the services of a general contractor with self-perform electrical, communications, and utilities capabilities. We specialize in demolition/ renovation, high security construction, OCONUS renovations, and highway appurtenances.
Portico is seeking an experienced Administrative/Office Assistant to join our team at Cape Canaveral. This person will be tasked with handling standard day to day administrative and office support. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Government programs and projects.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Portico is seeking an experienced Administrative/Office Assistant to join our team at Cape Canaveral. This person will be tasked with handling standard day to day administrative and office support. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting Government programs and projects.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Providing general administrative and operational support, including document tracking, managing electronic/hard copy filing systems, archiving files as needed, and ensuring that all documents and files are appropriately identified and stored, and safeguarded with appropriate access protocol
- Maintain correspondence tracking logs, including information pertaining to RFI's RFP's and change orders
- Modify and edit pages on SharePoint site, set up discussion pages, and assist employees on access and use of web site (Can train)
- Schedule meetings, attend meetings and take notes, provide summary minutes upon request
- Assist in planning, scheduling and tracking team activities and action items, and prioritizing with emphasis on time sensitive and upcoming items
- Provide tracking and status reports as needed to the project team and to leadership
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of related experience
- Demonstrated administrative support experience working with a government contracting or federal agency
- Proven experience in general document control, tracking of correspondence, organization of electronic files. and drafting and formatting of official contract related documents
- Must have experience working with documentation for tracking activities, filing system and reports, including uploading and maintaining the SharePoint contract file system.
- Must have intermediate level skill using MS Office products, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Medical or safety management experience is a plus.
