Job Summary:

The Staff Assistant is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and performing a wide variety of administrative and program support activities for the Deputy Directors of Nursing as related to the operational and interdisciplinary needs. Serves as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for the internal and external customers and may serve on a variety of hospital and divisional committees in a support capacity. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, managing office support activities for the Peri-operative services department, human resource activities, and updating and maintaining policies, protocols, departmental files, developing and maintaining divisional/productivity quality data, performing data collection, and creating and maintaining reports, spreadsheets, databases and related systems to support goals, objectives and program development. The Staff Assistant will also coordinate monthly operations committee meetings, manage calendar scheduling and provide administrative support to committees, prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, finalize and distribute minutes, track follow up to meeting outcomes, and complete other responsibilities and projects as delegated/assigned.



Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in related field with a minimum of one (1) year administrative experience (preferably in a health care organization) OR Associates Degree in related field and three (3) years administrative experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Proficient in MS Office and Excel; excellent written/oral communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking and interpersonal skills required.
