Job Description

Lakarya is currently hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Addison, TX.

Duration: 18 month contract
Education/Experience Required: Spanish skills required. Must have previous translation experience.

Job Description :

  • Initiates and facilities communication with internal departments and regional subsidiaries in order to gather and exchange information on behalf of the LA Regional Finance, Operations and IST team.
  • Utilizes independent judgment and awareness to perform analysis, identify areas of concern and summarizes findings. Supports the Regional Finance and Operational teams by preparing and analyzing reports.
  • Works directly with Region team to resolve problems related to reports analyzed.

Responsibilities :
1. Interfaces with country and region Finance and Operations to provide information and support. Acts independently to disseminate information and responds to inquiries ranging from basic to complex in nature. Proactively compiles, researches and prepares various summaries and reports. This entails creating ad hoc spreadsheets and performing analysis as needed to assist department staff on request

2. Serves as regional support for the Guatemala/El Salvador distributorship. Uses language skills and critical, resolution and analytical thinking to support the distributor on key strategies and challenges in the market. Supports the VP's of the Region in resolving issues with the distributorship.

3. Interfaces with country, region and corporate leaders to provide information and support on multiple issues related to Finance and Operations. Acts independently to disseminate information. Responds to inquiries ranging from basic to complex in nature. Follows up with LA markets on meeting key deadlines. Provides assistance to Region team members during assimilations and day to day requests (i.e. org charts, policy compliance, procedures and forms, schedules, travel details, visa requirements and presentations.)

4. Reviews and monitors Capital Expenditures/Lease Authorization forms submitted by LA Region. Identifies areas of concern and works directly with subsidiaries to resolve issues. Obtains approvals and communicates with Treasury Department to answer questions and ensure a smooth approval process.

5. Supports Region Finance team with department budget and latest estimate process. Tracks expenditures, researches, reconciles differences and prepares variance reports.

6. Proactively evaluates and provides region updates to the International Billing department for consulting service fees.

7. Prepares various summaries and ad hoc reports and presentations for the Region Operations and Finance teams. Performs analysis as needed to assist department staff on request.

8. Maintains awareness of available technology and software to help teams communicate more effectively with the LA markets.

9. Completes and/or reviews expense reports for departmental members to ensure that charges are billed correctly to international markets.

10. Prepares international shipments for Operations team utilizing an understanding of corporate policy and knowledge of international shipping laws and regulations.

11. Makes and/or assists with travel arrangements and confirms visa status for Department members. Coordinates Regional conferences as needed.

12. Maintains VP's timesheet. Reviews and submits timesheets.

13. Answers, screens and directs calls. Resolves routine and non-routine inquiries.

14. Manages various requests on behalf of international offices requiring signatures or additional documentation.
In addition to the above, incumbent is expected to meet the required competencies for this position as defined in the competency profile.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • High School Education: Some college level coursework is highly recommended, especially in project-related areas.
  • 5 plus years of related international exposure and experience; experience with accounting and international import/export is preferred.
  • Fluent in Spanish preferred and would be great if also Portuguese
  • Must have previous translation experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with international markets, internal departments across the Company, as well as with many levels within the organization. Ability to exercise diplomacy in interactions with others globally is essential; must exude professional and positive demeanor in daily activities.
  • Spanish skills required. Must have previous translation experience. Trilingual skills to include Portuguese preferred.
  • Must be solution-oriented and possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office components and ability to produce presentations, reports and track project status.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
