The company's patented process and innovative products utilize RhizoSorb® technology. RhizoSorb® technology optimizes plant uptake of key nutrients like phosphorous, promotes root growth and reduces waste. Unlike traditional fertilizer, RhizoSorb® products prevent fertilizer from polluting waterways, reduce fertilizer and irrigation needs, and improve the overall qualify of turf and flowering plants.

The individual hired for this position will assume ownership of and perform a diverse range of tasks, becoming the indispensable business partner to the Commercial Sales Unit, helping them manage, implement and achieve critical mission objectives and sales strategies. The Administrative Assistant – Sales Division also serves as a liaison to internal and external colleagues, clients and the general public.

Among other responsibilities, this position provides high-level, confidential business support by handling order processing and sales support, managing company CRM, maintaining client relationships, managing/overseeing special projects, maintaining/organizing filing system for sales professionals, and handling information requests. Work assignments are often performed with limited direct supervision and often, where only limited standardization exists; therefore, the Administrative Assistant must have the skills and abilities to identify and implement process and/or systems improvements to achieve a defined outcome. The Administrative Assistant also performs a multitude of clerical tasks to support the Executive Team, Commercial Sales Unit and other staff, including, but not limited to preparing correspondence, arranging conference calls and making travel arrangements, scheduling meetings, organizing emails, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • “Day-1 Expert-level” proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word; with advanced-level Excel skills)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software and to quickly develop proficiency with high-tech/high-touch systems such as, but not limited to desktop/laptop/tablet, smart phones, GSuite (Gmail, calendar etc.), Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.), and others
  • Background checks (criminal/education/employment/reference/credit/DMV) will be performed; results must be satisfactory to the company.
  • Also requires a valid driver's license, registered and insured vehicle, and the ability to drive to and from prospective and current accounts or other business engagements, as needed. Occasional day and/or overnight travel associated with trade shows and other industry/business events may also be necessary.
  • If hired, must adhere to all company policies and procedures and other prescribed best practices/industry standards

DESIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (THESE ARE A PLUS!)

  • 1+ year related administrative and/or clerical experience in a fast-paced business office environment. For the exceptional candidate, CRM and accounting software training will be available. However, some experience with Salesforce, Zoho CRM/Financial Suite or a similar online CRM system is highly desired.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field; comparable work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Working knowledge and regular use of social media platforms (e.g. Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
