Position Summary:
Perform a wide range of administrative and office support activities for managers and supervisors to facilitate effective and efficient operations of our Southern MD Gas Operations in White Plains, MD.
The ideal candidate is one who can work independently with little to no supervision and maintains a high level of confidentiality. Candidates considered for the position must possess excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate success in building interpersonal relationships required to work in a fast- paced environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate and effectively communicate with internal staff and customer representatives
- Maintain well-organized electronic and paper-based filing and tracking systems
- Shadow other teams for cross training; support teams as needed
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to perform duties independently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong understanding and appreciation of deadlines and commitment to schedules
- Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Highly self-motivated and directed with strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must pass mandatory pre-employment and random drug testing
- Must be able to pass Federal background check
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous administrative experience preferred
- Excellent computer and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of construction industry a plus
