Overview:

Administrative Assistant - Stony Brook OBGYN Associates, UFPC

Location: Stony Brook, NY

Schedule: Full Time

Days/Hours: Monday through Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm

Responsibilities: SUMMARY: This position requires the incumbent to provide administrative support to the Practice. This position is essential to ensure efficient operation of the office. You will support managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication within and outside the department.
Job Duties & Essential Functions:
  • Schedule meetings and keep calendars.
  • Answer and direct phone calls.
  • Order supplies.
  • Prepare payment requisitions.
  • Open, sort and distribute mail.
  • Coordinate maintenance of office equipment.
  • Maintain confidential files.
  • Scan and maintain documents and files.
  • Prepare meeting materials and handouts.
  • Assist in day-to-day operations of department.
  • Maintain office environment to ensure productivity.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: Required Education & Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Three years Administrative/Clerical experience.
  • Must have excellent expressive and written communication skills.
  • Must be highly organized.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Administrative Assistant experience in a healthcare setting.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with patients, staff and medical providers. The employee must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. This position is largely sedentary and requires the employee to remain stationary for a majority of the day. The responsibilities and tasks outlined in this job description are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of CPMP.
