Current Need
McKesson is hiring an Administrative Assistant to support the Vice Presidents of PSSP (Product Strategy & Supplier Partnerships) and extended teams in our Richmond, VA location.

Position Description
Provides administrative support to managers including calendar management, meeting, and travel support. Requires thorough knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures. Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature. Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of executive staff and outside individuals. Prepares presentation materials. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support of Vice President and other leaders within the PSSP team
  • Ad hoc project work – including support on events
  • Gathering and preparing pertinent information for use in discussions/meetings of executive leadership and other senior constituents
  • Manage daily calendars, coordinate conference calls/meetings/client visits
  • Identify meeting needs, arrange logistics, and confirm details for meetings with multiple participants and involving complex calendar coordination
  • Complete extensive travel arrangements including airline, hotel and transportation reservations and create detailed itineraries; monitor flight delays and adjust travel plans as needed
  • Construct and submit expense reports in alignment with internal processes in an expedited manner
  • Assessing details, performing consistent follow through, and collaborating with others to bring assignments to resolution
  • Greet and assist visitors and clients in a courteous, professional manner
  • Submits/tracks Purchase Orders
  • Purchases office supplies & other items for team, adhering to purchasing policies
  • Assists with onboarding new employees

Minimum Requirements
  • Typically requires 3+ years of related experience

Critical Skills
  • 3 years+ administrative support experience working with executives.
  • Experience managing multiple executive calendars – capable of organizing and coordinating meetings. Experience in arranging airline, hotel, and car rental reservations
  • Experience with purchase orders and expenses, experience handling a purchasing card
  • Experience coordinating new employee onboarding
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to prioritize assignments and multi-task, High degree of flexibility, confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and tact
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Additional Skills
  • Professional demeanor and presentation, with strong interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have excellent follow-through skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under general direction, on multiple tasks with demanding timelines
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Experience working in a dual project-based and task-oriented role

Education
HS Diploma required. An AA degree is preferred.

Physical Requirements
General Office Demands and performing computer-based work
