Job Overview
We are looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our management team at the Dorchester. The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for performing administrative and clerical tasks, such as organizing and managing resident files, opening mail, and coding invoices. The Administrative Assistant will support the management staff by ensuring these important tasks are handled timely and efficiently. The Administrative assistant should be self-organized, able to work independently, have excellent communication skills and a fine attention to detail.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Organize/maintain resident files, including keeping the resident database up to date.
- Process, sort, and route incoming/outgoing mail.
- Code and prepare invoices for managerial review/approval.
- Manage office supplies and reorder as necessary.
- Creating/posting notices on the lobby display.
- Provide ad-hoc support to the management staff as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (some college or Associates degree preferred)
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a professional office setting.
- Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation and Work Hours
- $18-$20/hour, based on experience.
- 16-20 hours per week, schedule may be flexible to fit a qualitied candidate.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
