The Administrative Assistant II provides various administrative support functions to Diplomatic Security designated offices
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive visitors
- Answer/screen phone calls
- Provide travel support
- Perform correspondence review and document management
- Provide meeting support, human resources support, time and attendance support, and logistical support
- Serve as an administrative backup to front office when needed
- Database support
Supervisory/Management Authority:
- This position will not have supervisory or management authority
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate's degree with a minimum of five (5) years direct experience
- as an Administrative Assistant is acceptable,
- A bachelor's degree in a related field of study or a combination of substantial experience and education in the administrative field is required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills: both oral & written
- An Active Secret Clearance verifiable in JPAS is required
- The ability to successfully pass a drug screen and a federal background check is mandatory
Work Environment:
- Work is performed in a secured federal office environment
