Job Description
The DIRHA program aims to develop high school students to succeed as leaders while fostering community engagement and promoting empathy through faculty-led seminars, experiential learning, and mentorship. As Analyst for DIRHA, the incumbent is responsible for program administration to include: financial administration of reimbursements, purchases, stipends and other payments; contract and grant proposal preparation and submission; various fundraising activities; ensuring compliance with all UC policies including insurance and waivers; event and seminar planning and orchestration; administrative support to Director with special projects and related initiatives; supplies and database maintenance; data collection and reporting; website maintenance; oversight of several student interns; coordination of mentors; liaising with Orange County Department of Education and the various school districts; and exceptional customer service to faculty, students, participants, guest speakers, donors, vendors, and partners pertaining to the daily administrative operations of the program and related initiatives. The School of Social Sciences at UC Irvine seeks a positive, highly motivated, self-starter to provide administrative and analytical support to the Directors of the Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Healing Ambassador Program (DIRHA) and related initiatives. Compensation Range: Hourly: $23.47 - $28.86 Department Website: https://www.socsci.uci.edu/ Required: BA/BS with 1-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of both education and experience. Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Special Conditions Required: Some travel may be necessary in California and out of state. As driving will be required for this position, candidate must possess a valid California Driver's License or ability to obtain one as required by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Final candidate subject to background check.
