The Humanities & Social Sciences Department at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio seeks part-time instructor for statistics beginning Spring 2022 or January 2022.

Instructor needs to teach students the essentials of basic statistical procedures used to describe, summarize and analyze data. Responsibilities include preparing syllabi, lectures, assignments, and assessments, as appropriate to the course under the supervision of the program head who will provide a sample syllabus and select the textbook(s) for the course. Must be available for individual student assistance (outside class time) at least one hour per week per section, and/or respond to telephone or electronic communication from students within 24-48 hours.

The course(s) to be taught:

  • SOCI 3311 Statistics (Face-to-Face) Tuesdays & Thursdays 09:30AM - 10:45AM

Job Requirements:
Required: Master's Degree in the specific field of Sociology and/or an approved equivalent degree like Mathematics.

Preferred: Doctoral degree in Sociology and/or extensive statistical training or experience are preferred.
