Job Description

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Adjunct Instructor Dental Hygiene position, in the Dental Hygiene departments. This position is located on Atlanta Tech's Main Campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Job Description:

To assist students in their learning process by utilizing all appropriate College resources, materials, facilities, and educational technologies available to complement the teaching and learning process.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Primary responsibility for teaching dental hygiene students head and neck anatomy didactic theory.
  • Clinical teaching.
  • Teaching requires utilizing techniques that facilitates adult learning styles and demonstrates varying techniques
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, knowledge, judgment, awareness, understanding, memory and able to process and respond in an effective manner
  • Collaborates with the program faculty and staff regarding admissions policies, curriculum issues, learning techniques, clinical policies, remediation, and accreditation polices;
  • Versed in the Dental Hygiene field and maintains current knowledge in subject area, specialty Dental subjects, and technology;
  • Follows approved clinical curriculum standards and course syllabi;
  • Monitors student use of supplies, materials, and equipment;
  • Have positive attitude, excellent oral and written communication skills; well- developed interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Familiar with Dentrix, Dexis, intraoral camera, ultrasonic technology, hygiene instrumentation techniques, and OSHA sterlization protocols.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed, Registered Dental Hygienist in the State of Georgia
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Teaching and clinical experience
  • Microsoft Word, Google Documents experience
  • Experience in Public Speaking
