Job Description
The Model Development & Reporting section of the Risk Modeling Unit (RMU) is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst (grade 22/23) to join the team. The development and reporting team is responsible for the development and maintenance of Chubb’s internal capital model and the reporting of internal & regulatory capital requirements for key subsidiaries within the organization. The ideal candidate would be a person with a strong technical and communication skills and enjoys working within a team but can also work independently. The position offers great opportunities to engage with Chubb management and unit actuaries across the different regions and product offerings within the organization. Additionally, it provides the opportunity for an individual to develop highly technical, process management and communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Development and maintenance of Chubb’s internal capital model
Make improvements and be an active participant in the model run cycles.
Participate in reviews of internal capital for key subsidiaries with Chubb Management
Ad hoc risk modeling for key product lines (i.e. Political Risk)
Calculation of key risks within the organization (i.e. Catastrophe Risk, Market Risk, Reserve Risk, etc.)
Participate in research projects to enhance the utilization of the internal capital model
Qualifications
Requirement:
2-4 years of experience in actuarial disciplines, minimum of 2 exams passed, and actively pursuing professional designation.
Capital modeling/ risk modeling experience is a plus
Strong analytical and technical skills
Proficiency in Excel, SQL, R. Working knowledge of VBA is highly desired. Igloo skills are a plus.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex ideas to different audience.
Strong time management skills, initiative to take on more tasks, and work comfortably in team environment.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree
