Actuarial Analyst II (Pricing)

Preferred Location: St. Louis, MO; Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Richmond, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Louisville, KY; Mason, OH; Waukesha, WI

The Actuarial Analyst II completes projects and performs complex actuarial studies. This position will work within Pricing, primarily in support of the Commercial medical benefit relativity model and assist with product analytics, modeling, and experience analysis.

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Obtains, verifies, analyzes and models data including risk reporting and forecasting.
  • Refines and collects appropriate data for actuarial analysis and ensures its reasonableness and accuracy by coordination within the division.
  • Develop new or enhance existing actuarial models, tools and experience reports, as required.
  • Coordinate with underwriting, rating tools and other business areas as needed to assure accurate product rating is implemented.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS/BA degree; required to have passed at least three Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams; at least 1 year of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
  • Experience with SAS and/or SQL desired.
  • VBA experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Excel required.
