Job Description
MENTOR Adult Day Health, a partner of The MENTOR Network, provides day programs for elders with complex medical or rehabilitative needs. This allows seniors to obtain quality healthcare while remaining active and involved in the community and continuing to live in their own homes. Activity Coordinator
Mentor Adult Day Health is seeking an Activity Supervisor to work directly with our participants by conducting group and individual recreation activities according to individual needs, capabilities, and interests.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Determine and implement necessary precautions in exercising responsibility for the care and safety of individuals served.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities with focus on emphasizing the preferences of individuals served.
- Provide instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques daily as well as at staff meetings.
- Maintain and continuously amend curriculum binders for each classroom to ensure that varied and age appropriate activities are planned and conducted for individuals served.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of experience working with developmentally disabled adults
- Experience planning and conducting activities for developmentally disabled adults
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Bilingual - Portuguese or Spanish Speaking
