Accounts Receivable Specialist
Position Overview
Advanced Testing Laboratory is seeking a dynamic Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Accounting & Finance team of dedicated professionals focused on client service and quality. The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is involved several areas inside the Accounts Receivable department including cash receipts and cash applications, cash application adjustments, client invoicing and collections.
To be a successful Accounts Receivable Specialist you should be able to audit and reconcile incoming client payments, work in a fast-paced work environment and strive for accuracy and timeliness when performing any Accounts Receivable tasks. Ultimately, an outstanding Accounts Receivable Specialist has a keen sense of business, a strong desire to perform tasks across all facets of Accounts Receivable and maintains meticulous transaction records while exuding extraordinary customer service to internal and external customers.
Major Responsibilities:
- Cash receipts and cash application across the entire ATL client base.
- Identify and troubleshoot cash receipt discrepancies and propose adjustments to supervisor.
- Make adjustments to customer accounts as needed and approved by supervisor.
- Assist in the client billing and invoicing process.
- Assist in the collections process.
- Creation of new client job #s on a daily basis.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports.
- Share ideas for process improvements.
- Perform other essential tasks, projects, and responsibilities as assigned related to Accounts Receivable.

- Must have strong attention to details.
- Strong drive to deliver accurate and timely work.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills such as communication, relationship building, initiative, adaptable, positive attitude, and team building.
- Must be highly motivated and able to problem solve trouble issues.
- Ability to change tasks quickly and as needed and adapt to a quick-paced, constant changing environment.
- Ability to follow and understand processes.
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Office suite.
Education and Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable
- An associates degree or higher in a related field is preferred
