Job Description

What does a successful Collection Representative do?

As a member of the Collections Group you will be a part of a diverse group that likes to work hard while having fun. You will experience a variety of challenging assignments that will improve your communication, verbal and negotiations skills while being rewarded for excellent performance through an incentive plan and other rewards. We are a relatively small group and every contributor plays a vital role in our over-all success. If you have excellent work history with a strong job stability, we want to hear from you!

In this role, you can look forward to:

  • Working a set schedule Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
  • Working from home during the pandemic
  • Collecting debt via telephone in a call center environment manually or using an automatic telephone dialing system to contact merchants in regards to their outstanding accounts
  • Collecting accounts in compliance with all applicable regulations and internal performance standards to meet or exceed personal and/or departmental objectives
  • Establishing rapport with merchants in order to overcome objections and secure payment of the debt
  • Detailing all discussions and actions in a tracking system or database
  • Confirming payment arrangements and finalizing call

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1+ years Customer service experience, preferably call center experience
  • 1+ years Dialer experience
  • 1+ years Collections experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with collections laws and regulations
  • Bilingual (Spanish or French) is a plus
