What does a successful Collection Representative do?

As a member of the Collections Group you will be a part of a diverse group that likes to work hard while having fun. You will experience a variety of challenging assignments that will improve your communication, verbal and negotiations skills while being rewarded for excellent performance through an incentive plan and other rewards. In this role, you can look forward to:

• Working a set schedule Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
• Working from home during the pandemic
• Collecting debt via telephone in a call center environment manually or using an automatic telephone dialing system to contact merchants in regards to their outstanding accounts
• Collecting accounts in compliance with all applicable regulations and internal performance standards to meet or exceed personal and/or departmental objectives
• Establishing rapport with merchants in order to overcome objections and secure payment of the debt
• Detailing all discussions and actions in a tracking system or database
• Confirming payment arrangements and finalizing call

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 1+ years Customer service experience, preferably call center experience
• 1+ years Dialer experience
• 1+ years Collections experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with collections laws and regulations
• Bilingual (Spanish or French) is a plus
