The Oregon Clinic is seeking a full-time Accounts Receivable/Insurance Representative to join our billing office located in NE Portland, near the Lloyd Center area. This position follows up on claim denials and resubmits or appeals as appropriate, investigates billing problems and formulates solutions, researches and resolves unpaid claims, updates insurance carriers and processes rejected claims and account adjustments. Successful candidates will be detail-oriented, have strong organizational and communication skills, and have previous experience working in insurance claim denials and appeals. Clinical experience is a plus as there will be interaction with patients over the phone. Starting pay range, based on experience: $17.20 - $20.23 per hour.

Medical, Vision, and Rx Insurance is 100% paid for by The Oregon Clinic for full-time employees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' accounts receivable experience in a health care organization required
  • Knowledge of insurance carrier reimbursement procedures and practices, accounts receivables practices and medical business office procedures
  • Prior Centricity experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively use all relevant computer software, including Practice Management System, EMR and MS Office products
  • Excellent math, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to patient care and privacy guidelines
