Randall is seeking a top-tier Accounts Receivable Collections Clerk to join our Accounting Department staff in our Apopka, FL headquarters. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.
The Accounts Receivable Collection Clerk will perform collections and cash receipt posting in a fast paced construction environment:
- Daily collection calls/emails for assigned accounts.
- Entering notes into the customer accounts in computer system.
- Daily posting of cash receipts to customer accounts.
- Process credit card payments and post to customer accounts
- Reconcile deposits daily
- Research & resolve discrepancies on customer accounts.
- Update, when necessary, all customer information in computer system.
Coordinate the issuance of lien waivers – to facilitate prompt collections.
Run Weekly A/R aging report for collections.- Respond to customer requests for invoices and appropriate backup – when needed.
- Reconcile weekly the AR ledger with accounting to ensure all payments have been properly posted.
- Review all payments posted on account – and follow-up to apply to proper invoices.
- Review bad debt and submit for approval to write-off debt.
- Maintain all records/files relating to accounts receivable.
- Must be well organized and detail oriented.
- Other office duties as assigned and requested
Desired Qualification Requirements
- 3+ years of collection experience with at least 1year experience in the construction industry.
Excellent Written and Oral Communication skills required.
Associate’s degree in business preferred.
Excellent Customer Service skills
Strong attention to details
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Competent in use of software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook
